Still Waters Series
Designed for Space
There are moments you don’t go looking for.
They find you when you’ve stopped trying to capture anything at all.
This series began that way.
A quiet pause on a summer day, travelling with my daughters, not in work mode, not searching for a photograph. Just present. It was a simple comment that made me stop the car, something I would have driven past without a second thought.
At first, it was just the boats.
Then the scene revealed itself.
The stillness.
The balance of colour.
The way the water held everything without distortion or movement.
Nothing dramatic. Nothing demanding attention.
Just a moment that asked to be noticed.
Still Waters is built around that shift.
From movement to pause. From seeing to actually noticing.
Each piece in the series reflects a stage of that experience. Not a change in subject, but a deepening awareness. The compositions remain minimal, restrained, allowing space to do the work. The calm is not added, it is already there.
Designed for spaces that value clarity over noise, this is work that doesn’t compete for attention. It settles into a room, and over time, reveals more the longer you live with it.
Because the most powerful moments are often the ones we nearly miss.
Seen only when you stop

Finish
Printed on Fuji Crystal Pearl photographic paper, chosen for its exceptional colour depth, tonal smoothness, and ability to render fine detail with clarity with a subtle pearlescent finish that enhances contrast and luminosity, making light sources and reflections feel almost backlit.
Each print is then face mounted behind polished acrylic glass, a process that increases perceived depth, sharpness, and richness of colour. The acrylic is optically clear and shatter resistant, allowing the image to sit forward in the space with a refined, gallery presence.
A rigid aluminium Dibond backing is bonded to the rear, providing long term stability and ensuring the work remains perfectly flat at this scale.
The final result is a piece that feels less like a photograph and more like an architectural object.
